ICACC
ICACC represents an ongoing partnership between the local Aboriginal Community and eight Local Government authorities in the southern area of Melbourne: Bass Coast Shire, Cardinia Shire, City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, City of Kingston, Frankston City Council, Knox City Council, Mornington Peninsula Shire.
ICACC Represents Community at Urban Indigenous Communities Conference
ICACC Co-Chairs Ms Vicki Nicholson-Brown, Wurundjeri Elder, and Ms Angela Long, Councillor from City of Greater Dandenong, recently represented ICACC at this Conference when they discussed the following:
* Effective partnerships between the local Aboriginal community and eight Local Government Councils
* Enhancing reconciliation, equity, health and well-being
* Linking Aboriginal communities to the broader community
* Identifying service gaps and where cooperation can improve between communities and government
* Involving Aboriginal people in decision making
